Prevention Plans
Application Timeline: Applications generally open in May. Draft plans are due in July.
Funding Availability: Funds become available for use in the fall.
What is Funded: Approved substance use prevention and mental health promotion activities included in the Prevention Plan.
Amount of Funding: Up to $6,000 per institution.

TN Highway Safety Office Project
Funding Availability: CHASCo, in partnership with the TN Highway Safety Office, has received funding to implement programming focused on alcohol education and impaired driving, and we are seeking campuses to submit proposals for Spring 2025 programming. This funding can support programs on your campus related to preventing alcohol and other drug use, binge drinking and impaired driving. Additional information is included in the proposal guide and the THSO Invitation to Participate.
Amount of Funding: Funding is listed at $1,000 with the option of an additional student stipend of $500. Feel free to ask for additional funds, the actual amount may be larger depending on the number of campuses that apply.

Social Norms Campaign
What is Funded: CHASCo has fudning available for social norms campaigns. If you want more information about social norms campaigns, check out our website for resources and examples from other campuses from across the state. JUST FYI! You can develop substance misuse campaigns that include messages regarding a myriad of topics including mental health, sexual violence, and wellness.
Amount of Funding: Approximately $1,000-$1,500.

Cannabis Prevention Project
Funding Availability: We will be able to offer funding for campus cannabis prevention programs for this academic year.
Amount of Funding: Approximately $1,500-$2,000 per campus and additional funds can be requested.

eCHECKUP TO GO offers Consortium Pricing for groups that include five or more campuses. CHASCo will collect the subscription fees for the campuses who opt into the consortium. One check to eCHECKUP TO GO will be processed to pay the invoice for all the participating campuses. eCHECKUP TO GO allows this process because it cuts down on their administrative workload.
The next application for the CHASCo eCHECKUP TO GO Consortium will be in June 2026.
